PowerX Equipment are delighted to welcome two new apprentices to the team. Theo Onisha joins as a Junior Design Engineer and Harvey Pinhorne joins as a Junior Engineer Crushing and Screening (Powerscreen).
Having applied for apprentices through the Government’s National Apprenticeship Scheme, PowerX Equipment were contacted by them to find out exactly what their requirements were. From there they were introduced to Solihull College and University.
Matt Dare, PowerX Equipment Operations Manager, explains, “I was introduced to Paul Bates, Levy Account Manager, who was a great support and put the wheels in motion for recruitment. The two positions were advertised on the National Apprenticeship Scheme website and we had a lot of interest, receiving 38 applications. The initial selection process gave us six applicants for each position which was then narrowed down to just three. Theo and Harvey were the successful candidates, showing enthusiasm and commitment to a career in engineering. We are looking forward to working with them and watch them develop their skills in the industry.”
This is the first time PowerX Equipment have taken on apprentices and reinforces their commitment to investing in the future and the next generation of engineers.
