We have a structured career path for keen, hard-working individuals, with on the job training to equip you with the necessary skills to become a qualified mechanical installation engineer.

Reporting to the Lead Engineer, the installation labourer will be involved in a wide range of activities in relation to the building of material handling equipment, systems and conveyors to meet on-time deliveries in the most effective manner.

About the role:

  • Assembling steel structures
  • Use of power and manual tooling
  • Meeting set targets whilst working on site
  • Ensuring the safe and controlled movement of material and equipment.
  • Working as part of a team
  • To maintain compliance to all Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Regulations.
  • Ensure compliance to all general site Rules, Regulations, Policies & Procedures.
  • Driving all over UK
  • Lifting & moving materials, tools & equipment
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Work Environment Considerations

  • Must be willing to work varied hours, including the ability to work evenings and weekends if required
  • Physical requirements of the job are classified as medium to heavy.
  • Physical demand requirements are in excess of light work.
  • Medium to heavy work is defined as:
    • 10 to 40 pounds of force frequently, may include pushing, pulling and lifting
    • 40 to 100 pounds of force occasionally with assistance of machinery or others to move objects
  • Ability to stand on concrete for 10+ hours per shift
  • Must be comfortable with working at height

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience of manual work
  • Secondary School leaver Diploma or GCSE at any level
